what to do before class

FOR ALL STUDENTS

Please carefully follow these directions:

  • Double check the time and location of your class.
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of your class. Classes begin promptly.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes (no high heels or flip-flops).

INITIAL GUARD CARD STUDENTS

  1. Payment is cash or credit card only, due the beginning of class.
  2. MANDATORY: Guard Card students who do NOT have their Guard Card must do ALL of the following:
    • Download the Power to Arrest Training Manual, read the manual and answer the Checkup questions at the end of each section.
    • Print the Power to Arrest Final Examination answer sheet on page 83. Take the Final Examination that begins on page 75 and mark your answers on the Power to Arrest Final Examination answer sheet.
    • You are required to bring your completed Power to Arrest Final Examination answer sheet to class. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

INITIAL FIREARMS STUDENTS WITHOUT A GUARD CARD

  1. Payment is cash or credit card only, due the beginning of class.
  2. Students must provide proof of citizenship or legal residency prior to course participation. This list shows acceptable proof of citizenship. Driver's license or social security card ARE NOT acceptable proof of citizenship.
  3. MANDATORY: Initial Firearms students who do NOT have their Guard Card must do ALL of the following:
  • Download the Power to Arrest Training Manual, read the manual and answer the Checkup questions at the end of each section.
  • Print the Power to Arrest Final Examination answer sheet on page 83. Take the Final Examination that begins on page 75 and mark your answers on the Power to Arrest Final Examination answer sheet.
  • You are required to bring your completed Power to Arrest Final Examination answer sheet to class. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
  • Download the Firearms Training Manual and read it and bring it to class

INITIAL FIREARMS STUDENTS WHO HAVE A GUARD CARD

  1. You DO NOT need to download the Power to Arrest Training Manual.
  2. Download the Firearms Training Manual and read it and bring it to class
  3. Payment is cash or credit card only, due at the beginning of class.
  4. Students must provide proof of citizenship or legal residency prior to course participation. This list shows acceptable proof of citizenship. Driver's license or social security card ARE NOT acceptable proof of citizenship.
